Early morning shot of APSS Event #3. Perfect weather and fun 2-3ft surf greeted spectators and competitors.

After placing a solid second place at APSS Event #1 back in August, Kilian kept the momentum going with a Semifinal result at Event #2 in October.

Then last Saturday it all came together for Garland. Clean waves in the 2-3ft range on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier allowed him to tee-off on the rights and do some damage with some blow-tail blasts and hard rail turns. After blazing through the first few heats, Kilian owned the final and walked away with the big win!

Kilian’s first place result in Event #3 put him at the top spot on the year-end ratings and he became the 2013 APSS Champion!

Kilian was rock solid all day at APSS Event #3. Full rail turns, air reverses, fins-free snaps, and good flow led him to victory!
Kilian, stoked on the win and the $3000 check.
